How do I use the AS330 enema bag?
1. Preparation: Close the slide clamp on the tubing. Fill the 1500 mL bag with warm water and the included soap packet as prescribed.
2. Prime the Line: Hold the bag with the hose end down and briefly open the clamp to flush out air bubbles.
3. Positioning: Hang the bag 12 to 18 inches above the rectum (e.g., on an IV pole or hook). Lie on your left side with knees pulled toward your chest.
4. Insertion: Insert the pre-lubricated tip slowly into the rectum (typically 3–4 inches).
5. Administration: Slowly release the slide clamp to allow the fluid to flow. If cramping occurs, pause for 30 seconds before continuing at a slower rate.
6. Aftercare: Once finished, remove the tip and attempt to hold the fluid for 5–10 minutes for maximum effectiveness before evacuating.
